We went to Quartz Mountain State Resort, Oklahoma on 28-30 April 2000. We climbed the mountain, went fishing and went to the Mangum Snake Hunt. Here are some pictures from the snake hunt:

Here is fearless leader Mike Pappas checking out the local scenery at Mangum.

Elizabeth Graham went with us. She was one of the better looking woman we saw downtown.

Brent Howard, Mike Pappas, and Erin at the Yard Sale.
We went back to camp and enjoy a most spectacular thunder and lightening display. We left Sunday morning during the boggest rainstorm of the year .... what a wet bunch of Scouts and equipment. It rained over 6 inches Sunday in Mangum.

Here are some more assorted pictures from the Quartz Mountain campout:
What a fun time packing up to go home in a rainstorm. It started raining on 5 am on Sunday and just kept right on raining until we left. We heard that it had rained 6-12 inches by Sunday night. It was nice enough on Saturday to climb our big hill.
Here is the troop lineup as of May 2000. It has sure changed in a year or so since our last picture. Here is a picture of Mr. Graham and Mr. Wise and Mr. Pappas slave-driving us in the annual Quartz Mountain cleanup.
